General

Here you may browse through information regarding the Eternally Mortal game. General questions such as 'Is this game a computer game?' are answere in this FAQ.
1.0 What is Eternally Mortal?
Eternally Mortal is a Science Fiction / Fantasy Role Playing Game. In it players will find danger lurking around every corner as well as wealth and riches. The designers of Eternally Mortal have taken great pangs to incorporate the raw power of the Science Fiction Genre with the intricacy of the Fantasy genre. What results is a system in which the player has full control of their character and what that character does, be it to learn the mystical arts of magic or learn how to fire a fully automatic energy weapon. The Game Designers have implemented an entirely new game system in which the idea of the "class" has been removed from the game.

1.1 What do you mean no classes?
One of the things that makes this game so revolutionary for its genre is the customizable character generation. The concept of using no classes is foreign to many people we understand. In Eternally Mortal we have decided to implement this type of system to give players the free range that we ourselves would like in a game. With no classes restricting what your character can become, your character will have an enormous amount of potential to become whatever they would like. You as the player also have so much control over the future of your character that the character will seem more "real" to you and draw you into the story.

1.2 How do I get better with my weapon if there are no classes?
With the modular system that the Game Designers have implemented into this game your character will have mulitple areas of advancement available to them. Just because we have no classes doesn't mean you can't get better.

2.0 What is an RPG?
The acronym RPG stands for Role-Playing-Game. In this type of game you, the player, takes on a character that is based in another world. This character is represented by what's called a Character Record Sheet. On this piece of paper lie all of the statistics that make your character your own.

3.0 Who can play?
Almost anybody can play this game, recommended for ages 12 and up, it is a nongraphical violent game but all the rules have been simplified as much as possible to make for smoother game play.

4.0 Is this a computer game?
No, it is a pencil and paper role playing game, yet there will be many web based tools and utilities.

5.0 How many people can play?
How many friends do you have? The game has been designed to support between 2 and 7 players and a game master.

6.0 When will the game be available?
We have not decided on a release date as of yet the game is still in it's alpha stages and still needs a good amount of work.

7.0 What makes me want to switch to this game? I already have a character I play in another game. Learning a whole new system will take a lot of time.
While we would like to think that everybody will get more from our game than any other game out there, you and your friends will have to decide whether or not trying out a new game is worth it to you. In the Game Designers 10+ years of experience each, they have never come across anything so innovative. The one thing that we can all be certain of is that games age. The newness and freshness of the game your currently playing will wear off. In Eternally Mortal we have made a system that can grow to limitless possibilities. We hope that you come and join us.

8.0 Who are the people behind Eternally Mortal?
The game Eternally Mortal is developed by a company called Exit 57 Enterntainment. The 3 main Game Designers are Chris Collins, Jason Fennell and Jeff Tuller. These three have put in countless hours into designing a game system that we hope you will find revolutionary. Exit 57's main purpose is to make great games. We make games because we are gamers ourselves. Our passion and dedication to bringing a quality product to the public is unparalleled.

9.0 Will there be additional books?
Absolutely, one of the great things about this game is it's scalability. There are so many different supplement books that can be created from this game; yet nothing has been discussed among the design team about which path we will take first.

10.0 How much does it cost?
The final retail price of the game has not been determined since we are still in late alpha stages.
