FeaturesQuestions regarding the various features that the Game Designers plan on implementing.
1.0 Are there any restrictions on weapons and armor for different character types? Like above there are not necessarily character types, the restrictions imbued upon characters is based on a character to character basis. Meaning if one character who uses magic is physically capable of firing a heavy ion blaster cannon, then he may fire a heavy ion blaster. Armor is a bit different but we tried to keep the same feel with armor: essentially if your character can pick it up and walk in it, you can wear it. |
2.0 What are some features that Eternally Mortal offers that other games don't? Answering this question in its entirety would take more space then we currently have available. But rest assured that the Game Designers have implemented an entirely new system of mechanics, not just a rehash of what you have seen in every other game. The combat system is played in a psuedo-real time environment, spells are cast on the fly, and your character will be vastly different from any other character at the high end game. |
3.0 How many levels will there be? Currently the design team has limited the initial release of the game to 50 levels. This gives the players room to grow and leaves the developers a lot of room for expansions. We want to continually offer our players to make their characters better and one way in which we will do this is through our various expansions. |
4.0 How many different races are implemented in the game? At the moment there are 10 races that are available for play. As we have built a system that can support any number of races we plan on including additional races as our game expands. |
5.0 Can I have an evil character? You as the player are free to role-play your character any way that you see fit. We do not believe in the standard model of good vs. evil. Your character is mortal and with mortality come flaws. We wanted to give players a chance to make their characters and develop them into anything they want. |
6.0 How is character death handled? When your character dies there will be options available to them to come back to the world of the living. While this will not be a low level experience, at the higher end game your character will have a chance.
Eternally Mortal uses a pretty standard hit point system which indicates the structural integrity of your characters body. When the integrity of your character becomes unstable, you die. This game got its name from the fact that a very powerful character can still be killed by a skillfully landed single blow. Dying will not happen as often if the characters work together as a team, use their defenses, or just stay away from senseless combat. |
