Survival (Terrain) (ADP) Tier: 1
Prerequisite Tree: Requirement Tree Propogation is offline. Sorry for the inconvenience. In order to survive in a specific terrain cut off from all help and civilization, must be able to find water, food, and provide shelter and protection for the user and any others with the character. There are many different terrain types. A character must choose one to know and understand. The following are trainable terrain types Swamp, Desert, Forest, Jungle, Plains, Mountains, Tundra, and the Arctic.
On a successful Skill Check, a character will be able to survive in the terrain type known, for 6 hours per percent the Skill was made by, dividing the rank of the characters endurance score plus hour per PC tier of a character divided by the number of those who do not have the same knowledge. Wounded characters accompanying the character are considered to be 2 companions for purposes of this calculation.
If the Skill Check is failed, the character cannot make another Skill Check until the next day. A failed check also means that the character and any companions have gone without food and water for one day, and will possibly suffer the effects of starvation or dehydration, see the Adventuring Chapter on these specifics.
(Current Percent - Roll) x 6) / Endurance Rank + PC Tier / # Companions = Duration Survival
Example: Trola and her traveling companions are stranded in a forest, lost. They have run out of provisions and now must rely on Trola to support the group with food, water, and shelter. Trola has a survival Skill in the forest of 70%, her Endurance Rank is 1, and her PC tier is 35. She makes her Skill Check by rolling a 50 on a 1D100. According to the equation above for determining the duration of survival time, Trola can provide for all three characters for 77 hours. After this point, she would have to make another Skill Check.
((((70 - 50) x 6) / 1) + 35) / 2 = 77
